Description
Goddess Ambe, also known as Sherawali Maa, is seated on a lion and is holding weapons in Her six hands, two of which are in a mudra of blessing and rest.
According to the Markandeya Puran, Ambe Maa is another incarnation of Maa Durga who has combined many forms of shakti power from all Devtas to become one. A manifestation of “Shakti” is Ambe Maa perched atop a lion. Ambe Maa gives us the ability to breathe, walk, digest, and so forth. is hence also referred to as Maha Shakti. Ambe Maa is worshipped in a variety of ways, each with its unique meaning.
